3_ Spazio "Viaggio Primordiale" (Primordial journey)
project by Andrea Volonterio and Davide Simoncini
[Concept]
Immersing oneself in a parallel, suspended, primordial world.
An arch of intertwined branches rises like a symbolic threshold: crossing it means leaving the everyday behind and entering a wild world, where nature teaches the language of emotions and guards ancient secrets. The senses surrender to enchantment, while the mind opens to wonder, rediscovering the innate curiosity of the childlike human with their impulse to observe, touch, and feel.
The path winds through evocative settings that give life to micro-ecosystems, sometimes inspired by reality, other times born from imagined visions. Each area tells the story of the plants that inhabit it, inviting visitors to uncover their deeper identity—etymologies, culinary uses, and botanical curiosities.
Forgotten, misunderstood, and even toxic plants are part of the scene—vital to the balance of the wild world, loved by birds, insects, and unseen creatures.
The journey continues through the prairie, ventures among the trunks of the forest, and climbs the rocks that host the tenacious mesophytes plants. Then come the hygrophilous wild edible plants, while fruit-bearing plants reveal themselves in their artificial perfection.
At the end of the path, a clearing: a game welcomes the visitor, inviting a moment of reflection.

Let’s talk about Genesis—how did your story begin?
A: I grew up among the woods of the Spina Verde and the mountains surrounding Lake Como, where my grandmother tended a vegetable garden and an extraordinary variety of flowering plants—almost a botanical collection…
