4 _ Spazio Amorfini Garden "Hortus/Silva"
project by Davide Boschetti
[Concept]
Hortus and Silva — two opposing concepts. On one side, the hortus: an orderly garden, shaped by human hands to meet practical needs, “taming” nature. On the other, the silva: the wild, untouched, and untamable forest.
Once seen as irreconcilable environments, today we recognize that the desire for control and monoculture inherent in the hortus inevitably clashes with the balance, spontaneity, and diversity found in nature. Thus emerges the need to imagine an ideal environment where spontaneity and order coexist in harmony.
Hortus/Silva celebrates this imaginary place through a space that balances the natural and the artificial, the spontaneous and the cultivated — a multisensory journey that unfolds step by step and must be experienced to be truly understood.
