From a pursuit of wonder, Orticolario’s path evolves and rises toward a different dimension: that of dreams, illusion, and imagination.
Non il sogno letterale (dal latino somnium, figlio di somnus: sonno) come esperienza che accade nel silenzio della notte, quando il corpo si abbandona e la mente si lascia attraversare da immagini inattese.
En rêverie is a subtler elsewhere. It derives from the French verb rêver, which in Old French meant to wander, to deliriously drift, to step outside reality. It is not sleep, but the movement of the mind. Not surrender, but exploration. It is a suspended state in which thought is set free, loses itself and finds itself again, giving shape to images that belong neither to day nor to night.
No longer merely the desire to discover, but the ability to generate—to shape with the mind what does not yet exist, giving form to infinite possible worlds.
In 2026, Orticolario explores an inner, personal, and subjective dimension, investigating the human capacity—and above all the childlike capacity—to imagine, create, and dream. To open passages beyond the threshold of reality.
At the heart of this surreal dimension are fantastical plants.

Terra, scura, quasi nera.
Copre il bianco, lo trasforma.
All’inizio è resistenza, graffio.
Poi diventa gesto morbido, rotondo.
Carezza.
E in quel passaggio qualcosa si apre.
La mente si quieta, il corpo ascolta.
Non serve capire.
Serve lasciarsi attraversare.
I fili si aggrovigliano, si tendono.
Non trovano forma.
Li lascio cadere.
Respiro.
E poi la forma arriva.
È lì che entriamo.
In quello spazio tra il controllo e il lasciar andare.
Dove qualcosa prende forma da solo.
La terra accoglie.
Tiene, contiene.
E lentamente lascia emergere.
Come un respiro profondo.
Non si guida, non si impone.
Semplicemente, emerge.
Le mani tornano morbide.
I nodi si sciolgono.
C’è una luce che appare.
È uno stato sottile.
Tra veglia e sogno.
Dove ciò che guardi fuori, risuona dentro.
Ogni tela attende.
Ogni gesto è diverso, unico.
Solo se sei disposto ad entrarci.
