Guided Tasting of Larian Honeys

IL SUOLO E LE API. L’alveare come bioindicatore della salute del nostro territorio.

with Francesco Rottoli, beekeeper and sensory analysis expert for honey

Friday, October 4, 14:30
Spazio Gardenia, Ala Cernobbio

Paid event* with reservation required

Honeybees, living in deep symbiosis with their environment, are valuable allies in assessing the health of the land.
In their golden realm, the hive, they conceal secrets that speak of petals and fields, lands and valleys: pollen analysis helps catalog the surrounding flora, wax reveals the active principles used in agriculture and urban green management, while honey and propolis highlight potential pollutants.
After a brief introduction to the world of bees and the role of hives as “bioindicators,” there will be a guided tasting aimed at exploring not only the organoleptic aspects of the honeys from the Larian area but also the connection with local flora and the production chain.
