Conference
I monumenti di foglie: dialogo tra “Arte e natura” (The Leaf Monuments: dialogue between “Art and Nature” )
with Chiara Rostagno, Deputy Director of the Pinacoteca di Brera, and Carlo Capponi, Head of Cultural Heritage for the Lombardy Episcopal Conference
Saturday, October 5, 13:30
Central Pavilion
A single leaf, a solitary bud, is enough to grasp the importance and beauty of life itself. A simple leaf is, in reality, a “universe” and a testament to perfection present in the smallest element.
Chiara Rostagno, in conversation with Carlo Capponi, explores the timeless visions of figures like Ruskin and Turner, Fortuny and Boni—artistic geniuses who taught their students the art of drawing to instill a love for Nature, rather than simply teaching them to observe Nature to learn how to draw.
