From the first sketch to the application of color, from detailing to the addition of shadows.

Guided by illustrator Cecilia Battaini, participants will discover the techniques of botanical illustration in pencil.
In their hands, Faber-Castell Italia’s Polychromos artist colored pencils; before their eyes, a selection of edible wild plants provided for the occasion by Orticolario (in collaboration with Fratelli Gramaglia nursery), silent sources of inspiration in form, fragrance, and story.

At the end of the workshop, each participant will take home not just a drawing, but a fragment of beauty cultivated with patience and wonder.

Bio

Cecilia Battaini was born in 1993 in Milan. An illustrator and surface designer, she draws pencil sketches of flowers inspired by her travels around the world. Alongside flowers, animals, plants, and mushrooms also inhabit her dreamlike universe. She collaborates with both international and national brands, working on commission and licensing her creations. Her floral patterns and botanical illustrations now appear on a wide range of products, including wallpapers, greeting cards, fabrics, and home accessories.
